The Tata Group owned Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR) is making a good progress in the Indian automobile market with a good growth. In the previous fiscal year of 2011-2012 the JLR achieved overall sales of 2288 cars in comparison to the 891 cars sold in the fiscal year of 2010-2011, while only 226 cars were being sold in the fiscal year of 2009-2010. With an increase in their product with the addition of the world famous Range Rover Evoque launched in the fiscal year as well as the XF, XJ and XK of the Jaguar 2012 models, it has also brought in the most powerful and accelerated production sports car, the Jaguar XKR-S to attract the customers. Land Rover Freelander 2 made its debut in the Indian automobile market in May 2011 from its assembly plant in Pune making it the first ever assembled Jaguar Land Rover of India. This Freelander 2 has been very appreciated and well received by the Indian customers who have made its sales go up north at a rate of more than 400 per cent compared to the sales of the fiscal year 2010-2011.
This incredible sale has been achieved primarily because of the introduction of the new product line in the Jaguar Land Rover. The firm has made an outreach through its dealership by expanding them and improving the sales and post sales experience of the JLR customers. It is also to be noted that a JLR customer is made to feel special by the firm through its various offers as well as the aforementioned outreach. And the company is always ready with its post sales service to serve the need of its client under all circumstances. The awareness of the Jaguar and Land Rover product has increased exponentially since the launch of the brand in 2009. In three year’s time the company has made an excellent growth with its niche line of vehicles which are indeed very costly. The customers who have rode in the vehicles of Jaguar and Land Rover wait eagerly now to experience the latest products by the company. This is indeed a positive response by the customers in favor of the company and this will add on to the further growth. Right now XF, XKR, XJ, XFR are available from the Jaguar range of products in the Indian automobile market. Freelander 2 which is assembled in Pune with Discovery 4, Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport is available from the product line of Land Rover for the automobile market of India.
