Apart from the launch of the Tata Aria 4×2, Tata Motors have also got their hands now full with the impeding launch of the new 2011 face-lifted Tata Indica Vista. It is a known fact that the Indica Vista and Manza look different from each other but now spy pictures of the face-lifted model are showing that Tata would be bridging this gap by giving the Manza nose to the new Vista. The bumpers have got the Manza treatment and so do the head lamps. At the rear, the Tata logo has been housed in a black applique. Apart from the existing portfolio of colors for the Vista, there would be approximately 3 more new colors.
While the earlier variant boasted of having names like Aqua and stuff nomenclature, the new ones would follow Maruti’s pattern of naming cars with LX, VX and so on. Just like the Maruti models, there would be a top end model which is to be called as the ZX variant. More goodies are also on offer with the ZX variant boasting of electronically powered mirrors, audio controls on the steering wheel, lots of chrome on the exteriors and also dual tone alloy wheels of the 14 inch variety. These alloy wheels design would be shared with the ones on the Manza Elan.
No change is expected in the range of engine options. The new Vista would be powered by a choice of 2 petrol and 2 diesel engines with no change in the power output. No date of launch, however, has been discussed and it is very likely that this new car may be launched soon enough to take advantage of the festive occasion. Expect a bump in price to the tune of Rs 5-10k.
