Tata Motors, the largest automobile manufacturing company of South Asia revealed its 2012 Tata Nano with plethora of new features, great fuel economy of 25.4 kilometers per litre, new color choices, more potent gasoline engine and new interiors. It is considered as one of the most fuel efficient car of India and is available at dealerships at same price like before. The company is planning to upgrade this people’s car for quite sometime now and new various technologies have been experimented with in the past such as diesel engines with astonishing fuel efficiency figures and three-cylinder powertrains. The redesigned model gets plenty of cosmetic changes such as new fabric and seats, floor mats, new front seat headrests, new wheel cap design, beige colored dashboard for brightening up interiors and outside rearview passenger side mirror.
The 2012 Tata Nano receives important mechanical changes, including reworked steering geometry, castor angle optimized for reducing steering effort, the most important complaint in the current model. It also gets redesigned suspension setup with antiroll bar for further improving handling and ride. The engineers of Tata Motors have enhanced body stiffness by making changes to structure with superior bonding of body panels. Powering the all new Nano is 624cc engine with maximum output of 38ps of power with 51 newton meters of torque. It offers the top speed of 105km and has the capability to negotiate inclines with gradeability by 30 percent.
The completely new interior of 2012 Tata Nano offers enhanced premiumness in terms of feel and look. The Nano is available in 10 different color choices, which include Pearl White, Champagne Gold, Rouge Red, Sunshine Yellow, Aqua Blue, Papaya Orange, Neon Rush, Mojito Green, Serene White and Meteor Silver. It is available in three different trim levels standard, CX and LX. The CX offers three color choices; Serene White, Rouge Red and Aqua Blue and comes with front suspension with anti roll bar, clear headlamps, booster assisted brakes, tubeless tires and tip-tap driver side mirror.
The 2012 Tata Nano CX is available in six different colors such as Rouge Red, Serene White, Champagne Gold, Papaya Orange, Neon Rush and Meteor Silver. It is equipped with ebony black interiors, trendy black fabric seats, best-in-class air-conditioning with heating, fold-down rearseat with nap rest, booster assisted brakes, parcel shelf, half wheel covers and tip-tap mirrors on passenger and driver side.
The range topping LX variant of 2012 Tata Nano adds central locking, premium beige fabric seats, front power windows, door handles, provision for 12V socket, cupholder in front console, foglamps, body coloured bumpers, rear spoiler, electronic tripmeter and full wheel covers. The LX is available in six premium color choices; these include Papaya Orange, Pearl White, Sunshine Yellow, Mojito Green, Champagne Gold and Meteor Silver.
The 2012 Tata Nano starts at Rs. 1.40 lakh for base model, 1.96 lakhs for LX and 1.70 lakhs for midrange CX variant. It is offered across 676 outlets, and the shoppers can purchase at highly low down payment beginning from Rs. 15,000.
