Audi was under tremendous pressure while designing the facelift of most prized sports car, the Audi R8 Spyder. And we can say it is a job well done looking at the first ever undisguised spy images of Audi R8 Spyder that has received midlife facelift.
The spy shots taken by worldcarfan, reveals almost every detail of the R8 Spyder’s exterior. Featuring as a drop top, the car receives full LED headlights, a tweaked front grille and a reworked taillight.
Under the hood will be the current V8 and Lambo’s V10 power plant. The 4.2-litre V8 produces 450 hp, while the 5.2-litre V10 pumps out 550 horses. On the transmission end, the car will dump the R-Tronic Transmission for a more reliable 7-Speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission.
Making its official debut at the 2012 Paris Motor show in September, the 2013 variant will replace the current version after another 2 years.
