General Motors provided an alternate for small car lovers with a thing for powerful diesel engines in the form of the Chevrolet Cruze sedan. Earlier this year, we saw the Cruze estate vehicle that unveiled at the Geneva Motor, and it gave a pretty clear idea of how the facelift Cruze sedan would appear. And finally, the American automotive giant takes the cover off its Cruze sedan facelift at the Busan Motor Show.
With no significant changes to the design, the car comes with new front fascia featuring restyled grille and fog lamp housing. Other more obvious features include restyled alloy wheels that give a more elegant look to the muscular machine. The car is pretty much untouched at the rear, which was cloudy when the estate wagon appeared.
In terms of interior, the car gets a heavy dose of facelift with a restyled centre console and AC vents. Our favorite bit is the addition of Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, where you can play videos, music and view photos on a 7-inch touchscreen panel. This system is USB compatible and appears first time in Korea.
We have to wait until next year to receive the 2013 Chevrolet Cruze here in India. However, for now, Chevrolet is offering a new diesel unit for the 2012 Cruze that will break cover next month. This will be a 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering a good 163PS power, as against the 150PS of the current runner. According to Chevrolet, the MyLink system will eventually trickle down to all global models and India is certain to receive it when the 2013 Cruze rolls in.
