A massively modified MINI Countryman ALL4 made Stephane Peterhansel and co-driver Jean-Paul Cottret to grab the first slot on podium for second consecutive win at 2013 Dakar Rally.
The duos managed to put a full stop at the 8500 kms (5282 miles) long cruise in just 38:32.39 which is 42:22 minutes ahead of its vying competitor.
Under the skin of MINI Countryman this devil sports a six cylinder 3.0 liter turbo powered diesel jag which enables it to dwell 307 hp and 516 lb-ft. of torque. Its top notch of 110 mph made it to grunt all the way in Andes Mountain Ranges and Atacama Desert which is considered as some of the driest regions in the world.
Countryman 2013 Dakar Rally ALL4 and its die hard pilots were the part of Monster Energy X-raid Team.
Dr Kay Segler, Sr. VP of Mini Brand Management congratulated the whole 2013 Dakar Rally Team and especially riders for their magnificent triumph. He also said, “The victory of the MINI ALL4 Racing last year was without doubt a surprise for many people. But now it is clear to everyone that this was no fluke. “
