It was a day before yesterday when the reports had surfaced that Audi found roads for A8 facelift with Matrix headlamps in India. We are glad that such had been bestowed to our land by Audi, in line with the Europe. Now going to debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, the actual show stealer for the event is said to be the ‘Matrix headlamps’ which will turn the faces of automotive fraternity that the arena hadn’t seen before.
Yet another sighting of the same in India is been a ‘delight’.
This fresh set of spy shots posted by Autocar-India claims the show stealing headlamps in detail, which the previous one was lacking as been shot from a bit far distance.
However, once again revealing the details, Matrix LED acts responsibly on the road and with the use of a camera it recognizes the oncoming vehicle and make the dimming action on that particular spot, while the remaining area to stay in high beam like that it was before.
Hence the recognition of pedestrians can also be made via this camera, and the dimming action can be performed to warn them. In addition, being connected with the GPS system of the car, Matrix also guesses the oncoming turns before than the driver could and make the beam steer in that particular direction, quite much before than the pilot can do it, and as well the steer-attached headlamps too.
Expecting it to be the cosmetic change only, no technical refinements speculated.
