Caught testing a lot of times in Europe and is set to debut at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, 2014 Audi A8 facelift with LED Matrix headlamps is spied testing in India, that too in the outskirts of Mumbai.
We are delighted to see this bug on India shores, as seem maybe another aggressive step of Audi to outdo the BMW 7 Series facelift and the upcoming new Mercedes Benz S Class here.
Hopefully, this new Audi is a cosmetic change; hence the refreshed front grille, revised bumpers, exciting new tail lamps, and minute interior tweaks are some of the tweaks that are made to cater the title of facelift smartly. And to rev up the competition on our local land the major new change on this German is the “Matrix headlamp”. It will add the delighting quotient than anything else on car, which is said to produce a quality of crystalline sheen that the automotive industry hadn’t seen before.
User can run the high beam continuously without blinding the oncoming driver. And by using the minute camera in its function line Matrix headlamp diodes the area which comes in contact in vision of the opposite driver while the rest stays lighted in the high beam. The camera also senses pedestrian, where it gives out the signal by blinking/dimming to warn them out when feels at an unsafe distance. This same functioning comes into action again when the oncoming car gets close with this Audi too.
Moreover, the new headlamp will be linked to the navigations system because, the system gets informed about the existence of turn long before than driver, so adjusting the beams as per it gives a new slot to the driving arena in the safety measure than that of the steering clinched headlamps.
25 LEDs and 5 reflectors in each of the headlamp of Audi’s Matrix A8 facelift will get the niche class going crazy in our country, where Audi is already sitting on the top of upmarket vehicle segment. Hence, the excitement will be doubled after the unveiling ceremony of same at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
