HCPI (Honda Cars Philippines, Inc.), Honda’s automobile business unit in partnership with M-TEC Company Limited, known for its Mugen accessories launched the all-new 2014 Honda City Mugen, during the introduction of all-new Honda City in Pasay last April. The new sleek cross motion form exterior styling is a breakthrough among traditional sedan styling, which unifies dynamic and sleek forms creating a sense of striking sporty profile.
And to further enhance the All New City’s style, the automaker in a joint project with M-TEC Co. Ltd., equipped the new Mugen Prototype with front under spoiler, front sports grille, rear under spoiler aerodynamic parts, 17-inch aluminum wheels and side spoiler.
Motivation for the Honda City comes from a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder petrol powerplant that’s good for 120PS of power with 14.5 kgm of torque. The base trim comes standard with 5-speed manual transmission, while other trims get a CVT transmission.
Exclusively designed for car aficionados who appreciate improved premium dynamic styling for complementing spirited driving performance, the all-new Honda City with factory-installed Mugen accessories will be offered for retail by the 3rd quarter 2014 through HCPI’s authorized dealerships and will eventually be available to other countries.
When Honda Cars Philippines Inc. first launched the factory installed Mugen accessories to the market in 2011, it has gained wide market acceptance allowing the automaker to be the number one Mugen products distributor outside the Japan market.
