In a bid to make the most of sales during season, Mahindra launched refreshed 2014 Xylo in India for a starting price of Rs 7.52 lakh ex-showroom Delhi (BSIII variant).
The MUV is faced with cosmetic as well as technical changes. Firstly it’s the chrome strip running over front grille and sides. The similar chrome add-on can also be spotted at rear. Alloys get new treatment whereas the roofrails and tail lamps.
Inside the cabin, refinements go with new upholstery of black and beige theme, new instrument cluster, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, and voice command system. Rear seat is capable of 60:40 split. Steering is mounted with audio controls, cruise control made available, and wing mirrors can now be electronically operated. Safety is concluded by ABS and EBD, dual front airbags and reverse assist with display.
Under the technicalities, company announced changes in suspension settings for a better ride and reduced body roll.
2014 Xylo is launched in two engine options. One of them is 2.5-litre CRDe turbodiesel worth of 95PS/218Nm which can be ordered in BSIII and BSIV variants both. Secondly, 2.2-litre mHAWK of 120PS/280Nm is only for BSIV buyers.
