2014 Mercedes-Benz S Class is meant to be the latest addition to the portfolio of three-pointed star in India. Hope so, the aggressiveness of Merc has taken on the Indian market seriously; the official of brand has kept on launching the latest models here too. The new E-Class is the recent example of said. However, the recent news on the board of Mercedes-Benz says, it has commenced bookings of new 2014 S-Class in our country. The booking amount remains on a dubious account, but sources claims it is the sum of Rs. 25 lakh which Germans are accepting as a token money for their new flagship.
The official launch of Mercedes S-Class does seems to happen somewhere in the nearby season, while the deliveries are slated to go on board in January 2014.
In the initial phase, ‘S500’ will make debut on our shores. Only 125 units of the new S-Class (S500) is been allocated for India by the Germans.
The volume booster S350 CDI (diesel) is said to join the league somewhere in June 2014.
The 2014 S-Class (petrol) is said to dwell 461PS twin turbo V8 petrol in its bay for S500 in India. While the diesel one is said to be 3.0L turbocharged with 258PS. Right now there aren’t speculations of the AMG version to be launched in our country, but we can’t say what’s stored in the Merc’s head about India.
To this point, only white and black paint shade will be rolled out here. We hope the BMW 7-Series Audi A8 and Jaguar XJL shall not take this attempt of Mercedes lightly.
