Since days back, we had kept on posting the spy shots of Mercedes Benz S Class which we had claimed it as the ‘Pullman version’. Disappointing to us, the story now came in that same is not exactly a successor to the Maybach, instead it is the ‘extended wheelbase’ version of newbie ‘2014 S Class’.
Yet another sighting of the 2014 S Class EWB had also surfaced via these fresh pieces of spy shots.
Hosting a wheelbase of 3035mm, the ‘S’ is now bestowed with the longer version which will measure 3165mm in total.
S Class EWB will measure 5246mm on the ‘overall length’, and would house four people at a time. The total length of the upcoming (long) Merc is extended by 200mm than the regular one, so hopefully it will sit above than the conventional 2014 S Class.
As per to some of the reports, S Class Pullman will be of 2+2+2 seating capacity and would draw competition against that of Rolls Royce Ghost. As a result, the test vehicle seems to have been slotted to work out the gap that was left fiddling in between the S Class and Pullman.
For the last, these spy shots also says, a ‘hybrid’ badge is being slapped behind this silver painted Mercedes Benz, which inclines it will be similar to that of S500 plug-in hybrid, and would make debut at upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
