Range Rover had launched the new Sport model at NY Auto Show via the hands of James Bond aka Daniel Craig. Mr. Bond drove this beauty all the way from Big Apple streets to the venue and hence overwhelmed us in the much augmented manner.
Claiming the newness in the cool yet sophisticated avatar, 2014 Range Rover Sport had defined trendsetting benchmark of industry, with the tweaks like blackened upper and red colored lowers; had taken us to fall for it again and again! Though, going to hit many market in this year itself, the makers of Sport, we mean Tata, will launch this luxurious off roader in the month of September on Indian shores. This piece of news was shared by Mr. Rohit Suri, Jaguar Land Rover India’s head, during an interview with CarDekho.
The New Range Rover Sport is made on the Premium Lightweight Architecture (PLA) platform and will see the engine options of 3.0-liter TDV6 diesel and 3.0-liter SDV6 diesel producing 258bhp and 292bhp respectively. There lays another variant too, it will be on the top of all claiming imperialism with 5.0-liter supercharged V8 motor churning out bravely 503bhp. All three are having impressive 0-100 kmph ratios. The new generation Sport had shredded the conventional boxes from corners and wears the new swift curves around the same. We expect the prices to be lugging around Rs. 90 lakh bracket for Indian fraternity.
