2014 Range Rover Sport had created a lot of hype in global media when it was revealed, and to be true as the brand being owned by an Indian organization called Tata Motors, it is possible that carmaker may launch the same on our local shores too.
A report on the OnCars has gone extreme and had specifically determined ‘October’ for the launch of 2014 Range Rover Sport to happen on Indian soil.
Well, this piece of news still remains on shaky grounds but looking at the Jaguar F-Type launch on Indian shores very shortly after the global revelation, it becomes more frugal in our context for the happening to be conducted on our local land in the bespoken month.
2014 Range Rover Sport is hopefully the fastest amongst its entire in-house model plates and is lighter than outgoing model too, i.e. due to the light weight aluminum body.
Internationally, the Range Rover Sport is given down with three engine options – 3.0 litre TDV6 diesel producing 258bhp, 3.0 litre SDV6 diesel smelting 292bhp and a 5.0 litre supercharged V8 petrol wobbling 503bhp. All the engines are paired to 8-speed automatic transmission, which we expect the same may also be launched here very soon.
