Ever since Jeep announced that it will be introducing its vehicles in India, we have been paying special attention to them. Besides bigger Cherokees and Wranglers, the most interesting Jeep was the one which they notified us with B-SUV.
Jeep, a full owned subsidiary of Fiat S.P.A. will be revealing the all-new 2015 Jeep Renegade baby sports utility vehicle this week at Geneva Auto Show. It will be introduced in India next year and has been rumored to get several speculative names, right from Jeepster to Loredo to latest Renegade. The series of images, posted on Jalopnik, a US motoring blog, show a boxy small design, which maximizes interior room, framed at the front by Jeep Patriot-style 7-slot grille set to either side with round headlamps.
Instead of give the impression the new compact, Jeep Renegade is designed for city driving and sits high off the ground with decent rear and front clearances. It also gets a Trailhawk logo just beneath windscreen pillar, suggesting that this version of new compact sports utility vehicle comes trail-rated for off-road adventure, in spite of its lary alloy wheels.
The Renegade is expected to share its origins with Fiat 500, the European small vehicle, which has become part of the newly introduced Chrysler-Fiat vehicles after Fiat’s buy-out of American automaker. Details are limited ahead of the vehicle’s official debut, but when it goes on sale in Australia, the off-road version of Renegade is expected to lineup with cars like Mini Countryman.
