Not so very rapid in gaining sales, Skoda Rapid is all about to charge the momentum with a new avatar soon.
Depicted to be launched on September 30, 2014 the new compact sedan of Czech-based automaker is reported to be called as “Rapid Black Edition”.
As per the spy-shots, apart from the standard front grille, ORVMs, headlamps, fog-lamp inserts and roof will be colored black.
The alloys shall be Skoda Comet of 16-inch.
Big change will be restrained to the new engine options under hoods. The 1.5L diesel engine of 104bhp, that other VW cars are seeing, is harpooned to be seen on this as well. And always commented, the possibility of DSG is not written off yet for this. On the gasoline trim, it could be the 1.2L TSI engine mated to an automatic gearbox.
Though, this year Skoda too sneaked up the Rapid with new steering wheel and minor changes on interiors.
Alongside, the parent company’s VW Vento too is going to carry a facelift soon. Taking a shot to look who is going to do better. Any comment?
