2015 VW Vento Facelift India Launch On June 23

How a carmaker can do without a sub 4-metre sedan and a compact SUV in India, but Volkswagen had proven it so far with a saying, nothing can replace the passion for making automobiles. The last facelift to Vento in current year had provided a slight forward skid to the car, but for a major one it needs another facelift, which it said to launch on June 23, 2015 across India.

The new facelift of VW Vento is reportedly unveiled in international markets, where the same may turn to India as well. The changes are on exteriors as well as on interiors. The equipment list also gets elongated.

On outer, the fresh set of headlamps, alloy wheels and new grille makes up at the first sight, replicating a clear sibling of the flagship model Passat. New bumper and fog lamps with infused cornering lights take the baton further. One can also find the rear bumper tweaked along with the tail lamps. Chrome finishes on door handles and boot will entice the buyers in India.

For occupants inside the cabin, a lighter color scheme is selected this time to lift the mood, whereas cooled glove box, dead pedal, cruise control and powered ORVMs are placed to match the rising standards of industry.

However, VW India doesn’t intends to change the engine options. It will continue with the ongoing options of 1.2-litre turbo petrol of 103bhp, and 1.6-litre petrol of 104bhp. The diesel will get its proportion from a 1.5-litre engine of 103bhp. A 5-speed manual transmission and 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox too will get carried over from the last update of 2015 Vento facelift.

Buyers can book a one for as low as Rs 50,000 and as high as Rs 75,000, where one can assume a slight increase in price in the range of Rs 15,000-25,000 (as per trim levels), considering the new car holds minor update.
