Hyundai Motor India has launched the facelift of their popular sub-4 metre compact sedan Xcent at an introductory price tag of Rs.5.38 lakh for the petrol powered variants and Rs.6.28 lakh for the diesel powered variants.
The new Xcent has received updates on the lines of Hyundai’s last facelift in the form of the new Grand i10. The changes include the addition of Hyundai’s signature Cascade design grille, revised front bumper that now incorporates fog lamps with LED Daytime Running Lights. The rear profile of the car has got a revised two-tone bumper design, which along with the reflectors and the large chrome strip gives the car a wider stance than before. The two piece wrap around tail lamps are also new.
From the side, the Hyundai Xcent remains the same profile except for the addition of a segment first shark fin antenna and new diamond cut alloy wheels. Under the hood there is the 1.2-litre petrol engine that can deliver 83PS of power and 11.6kgm of torque. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a new 1.2-litre unit, which replaces the old 1.1-litre unit that can deliver 75PS of power and 19.4kgm of torque. The claimed fuel efficiency for the petrol variant is 20.14kmpl for petrol and 25.4kmpl.
