Maruti Suzuki today launched the new 2017 Dzire today in India and the company has started taking the bookings of car at an amount of Rs.11,000. The car is no longer be known as the Swift Dzire and instead be called only the Dzire.
Based on the HEARTECT platform, the 2017 Dzire will be lighter in weight than the current Dzire. The new Dzire gets major updates at the interiors and exteriors and it is a first sedan in its segment with automatic transmission in both petrol and diesel engines. Under the hood, it’s the same powertrain but is a lot more efficient now. The 1.2-litre K-Series 4-pot petrol is tuned for 82 bhp at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4200 rpm. The 1.3-litre DDiS diesel, on the other hand, makes 74 bhp at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of peak torque at 2000 rpm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual and Automated Manual Transmission options.
