Skoda has launched the 2017 Skoda Octavia starting at Rs.15.49 lakhs. The new model is essentially a facelift but also has a number of new features including adaptive headlamp and hands-free parking.
The car will be available in three trim options — Ambition, Style and Style Plus — and four colour choices – Grey, Silver, White and Black. The car is based on the same platform that was used for the outgoing model. However, the noticeable changes in the design include an all-new front fascia. The new model also gets sleeker split-grille along with Quadra LED headlamp setup. A new 8-inch touchscreen display and eight speakers has also been incorporated while the SmartLink package includes MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Moreover, the BossConnect through SKODA Media Command App integrated into the Amundsen navigation system will allow occupants to control functions from the rear seat as well. Skoda says that the updated Octavia has been fitted with a host of safety features which include Hands-free Parking, Adaptive Front light System, Cornering Fog Lamps, eight airbags with dual airbags in the front and sides as standard, iBuzz Fatigue Alert and tyre pressure monitoring.
