New Toyota Etios Cross X Edition has been launched. It has been priced from Rs.6.8 lakhs. This new variant has been launched ahead of the festive season so as to bring boost in sales. The Etios Cross X Edition is available in Quartz Brown colour along with black roof rails. Changes to the exterior are limited to black accents on the roof racks, ORVMs and door handles in addition to an ‘X Edition’ badge on the C-Pillar. Inside, the upholstery receives dual-tone treatment.
Dual tone treatment is also seen on the steering wheel, seat covers and floor mats. The foot wells are illuminated in orange or blue, again depending on the exterior color. The gear knob gets piano black and chrome finish. In terms of equipment, the Etios Cross X Edition gains reverse parking sensors. Rest of the package continues unaltered.
One of the biggest additions on the inside is the 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and reverse parking camera display. It also gets a remote control which passengers can use to change tracks and volume level. There is also the addition of voice control with this system.
The Etios Cross is powered by one diesel engine and two petrol engines. The base 1.2-litre petrol engine gives out 80PS peak power and 104Nm of torque. The TRD Sportivo variant is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which gives 90PS peak power and 132 Nm of torque. The diesel motor is a 1.4-litre unit which is tuned to produce 68PS peak power and 170 Nm of torque.
