Autobild, German mag renders the 2018 BMW 6 Series Coupe. The 4th generation 6 Series is rumored to be introduced in 2018, seven years after the launch of F12 Convertible and F13 Coupe. Based on our knowledge of BMW design process, the 6 Series Coupe is most likely in the early design stages, where internal teams of designers are competing at the sketching level. Eventually, one team will win and their design idea will go into a full clay model.
Therefore, it is really hard to predict what direction the new 6 Series will take; however one can assume that the current design cues will be tickling into the new design, particularly the new headlamps, which connect to kidney grille. Thanks to OLED technology, we expect the future headlamps and taillamps to be sleeker and slimmer and have a more stylish look.
The folks at Autobild speculate that the 2018 BMW 6 Series Coupe will lose around 250kgs from its belling, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber.
For now, let’s have a look at this cool-looking render.
