The Mercedes S-Class facelift has been launched by Mercedes India starting at Rs.1.33 crores for the diesel version and 1.37 crores for the petrol one.
The S-Class has always been a favourite amongst Mercedes buyers with the company selling over 6700 units of them in the last 18 years in India. Powering the new S-Class is a range of new engines. The diesel car carries a new 3.0-litre, in-line, six-cylinder diesel motor and the petrol version carries a 3.0-litre V6. While the diesel engine gives out a peak power of 286HP and a peak torque of 600Nm, these figures for the petrol engine stands at 367HP and 500Nm. Both the engines are BS-IV compatible and come mated to a nine-speed G Tronic automatic transmission.
Features of the facelifted S-Class include LED headlamps, new tail-lamps and subtly re-profiled bumpers on the outside and 12.3-inch touchscreen unit, new leather and wood trim option for the interior inlays and 64 ambient lighting options.
