The Ducati Hypermotard 950 in India has been launched at Rs.11.99 lakhs. In India, the bike will replace the Hypermotard 939 which has been fully sold out. The Hypermotard 950 is powered by the same 937cc L-twin engine which powered the 939, but with a different compression ratio.
Previously this was 12.6:1 and now it has gone up to 13.3:1. This has also resulted in an increase in peak output and torque. Peak output now stands at 114HP which is 4HP more than what it was earlier. Apart from these mechanical changes, the bike has also received modified frame with thinner steel which in turn has resulted in reduction in weight.
Features include a six-axis-IMU and Bosch Cornering ABS Evo with three settings, Marzocchi USD fork and Sachs monoshock and fully adjustable Ohlins units n the SP variant.
