Lamborghini had created its mark of presence in the automotive world for last fifty years and to celebrate the success of half century this year the automaker had organized a grand rally in their homeland Italy, where it witnessed the proud Lambo owners of world being flown in with the famous raging Bull, enchanting the beauty of Italy and many more excitement on the board too. But it doesn’t seems the hangover of same had been flown-off from the veins of Lamborghini India wing, hence to nurture the motorsport talent on our local shores Italians had decided to support Amar Beg, the first Indian to compete in Lamborghini Super Trofeo – the fastest one-make series in the world.
Lamborghini Super Trofeo was all started in 2009 and had grew to a large tree in the last few years, which seen the Asian debut in 2012 doing races in countries in countries like China, Malaysia, Korea and Japan. Amer Beg, the contestant of this time Trofeo is ready to race the opening round Shanghai International Circuit, as he says, “I am thankful to Lamborghini India for this opportunity and it is a privilege to be a part of the fastest one-make series in the world. I have competed exclusively in single-seaters till now but I am looking forward to make a smooth transition into GT cars – even though there will be a lot to learn going into my first race weekend”.
Also learnt, this series uses identical, race-prepared versions of the Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo, and had managed to grab lot of attention throughout the globe. Apart from Amer Beg, this time the Asian series will see drivers from Singapore, Honk Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia and Korea to reveal the best out of rubber fumes and fuel rage on the exhaust notes of Italian bull.
“The Super Trofeo series has also grown into one of the company’s foremost platforms for communicating its brand heritage,” concluded Mr. Pavan Shetty, Head of Operations, Lamborghini India.
