Mahindra is barely a couple of days from launching its new SUV the TUV 300 and already reports are coming in that the company is working on a bigger version of the car to take on its rivals like the Maruti S-Cross, Hyundai Creta and the segment leader Renault Duster. Called TUV 500, the car will be positioned above the soon to be launched TUV 300 in the Indian market.
Nothing else is known about the car yet except that it might just be price competitively for the segment since it will be up against some of the best sellers in the country and it will also target primarily a urban customer base.
The TUV500 is expected to be underpinned by the same structure as the TUV300 and will carry a much improved version of the mHawk60 engine.
