A BS-VI compliant Honda Activa is in the works. This was revealed by Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice-president and operating head – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India in an interview to Autocar. It is not very difficult to figure out why Honda is investing in a BS-VI Activa.
The Activa is the most popular scooter in the Indian market and has been selling like hotcakes since the day it was launched. Just last month sales of Activa saw a dip by 4 percent, where 30,08,334 units of the scooter were sold and even then it was the highest selling scooter in the country.
Although no date or time has been given as to the launch of the new Activa, it is widely believed that the new Activa would be launched by January 2020.
