The all new generation of Honda Jazz aka Fit is supposed to be introduced by next fiscal and will be the first compact vehicle from the Japanese automaker to feature a compact oil burner. Motivation for the new Jazz will come from a three-cylinder 1.2 liter common rail turbocharged diesel engine. If reports from Japanese media are anything to go by, the standard form of next generation Jazz could be quite identical to that of present model; however the company will play a lot with the character lines and details.
The Honda i-VTEC engine (Electronic Lift Control and Intelligent Variable Valve Timing) in Jazz is designed and engineered for providing a remarkable combination of fuel economy and power. Add to that the Drive by Wire system and you have a combination, which responds at the touch of the throttle. It wields the power it has up its sleeve with flair. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, which is quite agile and sets a balance between fuel efficiency and sporty driving.
With its Dynamic Forward Leaning form and Super forward Cabin, the Honda Jazz is an aerodynamic bundle of joy. This Super forwarding Form is what comes after chiseling the contours of Jazz to artistic perfection. The evolution in Honda Jazz’s styling department could be much like the one found between the current and last generation Suzuki Swift. Whereas the design language and footprint remains largely similar, the new Swift looks much more contemporary unlike the last generation. It is likely to be introduced with really a lip smacking price tag, when it is introduced to the Indian market.
