Aston Martin confirmed of launching the new DB9 in India soon!
Aston Martin came to India in 2011, since then it sold lucrative numbers of cars in the country. For being a late entrant to the fraternity, Aston paid price in terms of lost market shares to Porsche, Jaguar and others.
Now doing its effort stay in the galore firm, British carmaker’s officials confirmed us, at an event, of launching their facelifted two-door sports car in India during the year (2014). DB9 is already on sale in our country in coupe and convertible variant, but its facelift model is promised to bring in additional power, and also expected to revive the image of brand’s lineup for head to head competition. It seems, the Bond’s favourite automobile brand is in the tempt to snag its image a level up, with rolling down all the international models in India soon after their global debuts, likewise the Jaguar, BMW and others.
Coming to the new DB9, it dons new bonnet design, front grille surround and bumper. The front fender air intake, rear bumper and the boot too are tweaked, which can be said revamped as well. More pronounced spoiler lip at the back has improved its aerodynamic aesthetics and also aides in handling that additional bunch of horses that are about to be unleashed from the hoods.
The changes are not so extreme, but they are reminiscent enough to distinct old from new.
On inside, the cabin is built with high-quality materials, where customers will have the 2+2 seating capacity.
The engine planted in the British sports car is AM11 5.9-liter V12 which gets the power of 510hp (517PS) over the previous edition car’s figure of 470hp (477PS), and 620Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque over the 600Nm (442 lb-ft). All of these aforesaid technical intrusion has laid the 0-100kmph mark in 4.6 seconds from 4.8 seconds, whereas the top speed got slower to 295kmph from the 306kmph of previous model’s record.
