Audi has further strengthened and updated its product portfolio as it unveiled the diesel variant of the hugely successful Audi A4 today for a price of Rs.40.20 lakhs. The diesel variant A4 gets mechanical changes and keeps the design from the petrol trim launched last year.
The new A4 gets athletic proportions and sporty elegance, LED headlights with rear dynamic turn indicators and is lightweight in construction. On the inside, the A4 gets the longest interior and huge shoulder width at the front which is the best in class. Moreover, the interior design with large decorative surfaces and continuous air vent strip and LED interior lighting as standard equipment.
The new Audi A4 comes with a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that produces maximum power output of 190hp and maximum torque of 400 Nm, mated to an updated seven-speed S-tronic transmission. The A4 can go from 0-100 in 7.7 seconds and has a top speed of 237 kmph.
In terms of safety features, the A4 gets Audi Parking Aid Plus with Rear View Camera, 8 Airbags and ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution with traction control.
