Audi launches new “base version” of its baby SUV Q3, which is in fact locally made in India, for Rs. 24.99 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
The new car called Q3 S is done with the front wheel layout, instead of the Audi’s standard AWD Quattro, a six speed manual gearbox, 2.0-litre TDI engine of 140bhp (instead of 177bhp in the standard Q3) and normal cluster of headlamps instead of the LED ones, in order to cut the costs and make it competitive in this niche trending cut throat competition.
Leather seats, cruise control, voice dialog system, climate control, MMI with Bluetooth connectivity and 18-inch alloy wheels are there present as standard equipments amongst others.
However, it is a slight difference to make the newly launched car different from the higher earned same version, but the headlamps and tail lamps makes the distinction more possible for the audience in the first stance. Lest, at this given price it is acceptable that Audi too is feeling the heat of Mercedes Benz A Class, B Class and the upcoming BMW 1 Series. Hoping so, Q3 S may do the best for this Ingolstadt based carmaker.
