After Mercedes-Benz GLA, that crossover concept which is based on A-Class, now Audi previewed the Q1 crossover for 2014 Detroit Motor Show.
Hopefully, the Q1 will be positioned below Q3 and will see compete a number of products in the market. Looking at teaser image, C-pillar looks quite beefy and roofline seems assimilating to it in the coupe like form. The image is portraying three-door model and 19-inch alloys. Front grille is also looking different than the standard Audi models, with slightly raked headlamps infused on its sides.
“The Audi Q1 is part of our broad-based SUV strategy,” Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said in a statement. “It is designed on the basis of the modular transverse engine concept and will round off our Q series at the bottom end.”
Its 13.78 feet of overall length gives an insight that the upcoming four-ringed crossover will be played with different roles of life.
However, Audi hasn’t hinted a peek of the technical specifications, but the interiors are drawn to have circular air vents and also the full-length central console, replicating aura of some sports car. We guess, hoods must also be storing the performance-oriented metals, which will be compatible for the work of a daily horse. 2014 Detroit Motor Show will reveal it all.
