R8 is the flagship model of Audi. It had done a lot for this German four-ringed luxury car brand. Audi R8 always leave its impression whenever it rubbed off against the asphalt. It’s beautiful body lines and the bold front grille makes it one of the most prominent metal pieces.
The flagship Audi R8 was sporting the same looks quite for some years. It was the perfect time to shed some of its curves for getting in pace with other heavyweights. The R8 facelift made its official debut in US at the NAIAS- North America International Auto Show.
The facelift version doesn’t receive much of the changes but some minor tweaks on exteriors and interiors both. It shed all the bulgy curves on the fronts which were reclining it to some old generations. It now flashes an all new differentiated hexagonal front grille which also resulted in the form of freshly designed bumpers. Newly designed all-LED headlights are adding some futuristic streaks to it.
It stores the same V8 and V10, as no changes are made under the hoods. V8 offers a 4.2 liter responding a 424 horsepower with 430 Nm of torque while V10 delivers a 5.2 liter with 518 bhp and 530 Nm of torque. The major technical difference between the old and the new one is the gear transmission system. Previously, Audi R8 used to shift with R-tronic 6 speed automated manual which is now replaced by new S-tronic 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.
Overall, it holds the complete refinement of sports features which is very much appreciated by the new generations. Audi R8 facelift is so awesome that one can’t go to the imagination of Audi new flagship R20, which is the much talked about supercar of the future.
