Audi India launched the new Audi R8 2013 in the month of January that also in 3 variants including R8 V8 coupe, R8 V10 coupe and R8 V10 spyder, priced at Rs.1.34 crore, Rs.1.57 crore and Rs.1.73 crores (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. Now, the company has planned to launch the top line of Audi R V10 plus variant in India expected on 4 April 2013 at the famous Buddh International Circuit (Noida).
The engine that will be fitted is similar to the Lamborghini source, 5.2 liter V10, which is also in the R8 Spyder and the R8 V10 coupe, but for the V10 plus variant the power has been tuned up.
Now, the same engine will return you promised power of exhilarating 550bhp with a peak torque of 540 Nm, making it 20 Nm and 25 bhp more powerful then the V10 coupe and R8 Spyder. Mated to a 7-speed S-tronic gear box, in mere 3.5 seconds with peak speed of 317 kilometers per hour (kmph) the V10 plus has the ability to touch 0-100 kilometers per hour (kmph).
When the Audi R8 V10 coupe was launched in the Indian market, the price was at Rs.1.57 crores. But, with hikes on import duties, the present cost is around approx Rs.1.81 crores. So expectation is the new car of the line V10 plus could cost you around Rs.2 crores.
Audi has also released a video of the new R8 V10 plus supercar, so you can see it in action giving 550bhp of engine action and hear its roar. Since the video went live, it’s already been seen Rs.7 lakh times.
