Soon after the launch of RS7 facelift in India, Audi India has aimed the next launch for this country, and said to bring the RS6 Avant to this nation on June 4, 2015, across the showrooms.
The RS6 is a performance version of A6 estate, which for an Indian it means, performance with lots of luggage space topped by a garnishing slice of practicality. We bet, the RS6 is altogether a first of its segment in the country, as none of the similar cadre is found present in showrooms. Leaving apart performance, India has totally excluded the estate segment due to various regulations and cost structures.
As of its body style, RS6 Avant has got sleek headlights on the sculpted face, where the cluster too is fixed with daytime running lights. Moving inside the cabin, it goes with an all-black theme for settling the segmentation of car.
Now, speaking as of the engine bay, a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine is strapped to crank up the max power of 560bhp and peak torque of 700Nm. Traction from this drive train is passed to all four-wheels individually by the Audi’s very own Quattro system mated to a 8-speed auto gearbox. Audi states it to touch the top-speed of 304km/h and peak the 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds.
Audi India is intended to bring the performance estate as a completely built unit (CBU) and will position it as a halo product, for which it will charge no lesser than Rs 1 crore.
This is the third launch of Audi in 2015 followed by new TT and RS7 facelift.
