Audi gave its S6 and S7 a mild mid-life upgrade earlier this month where these cars were given mild- hybrid diesel engines. Audi S5 Now the same engine would be offered in the Audi S5 as well.
The engine is question is the 350HP 3.0-liter TDI V6 diesel with a 48V mild-hybrid system and electrically-powered compressor. With this engine the S5 would be able to achieve 0 to 100kmph in just 4.8 seconds – 0.1 seconds faster than the five-door sportsback. In terms of output though, the diesel hybrid gives 4HP less than its petrol counterpart.
