After receiving green card for the launch of RE60 Quadricycle, Bajaj now reveals the compact range of RE autorickshaws, which is also known as Tuk Tuk in some parts of the world. For now Bajaj has made it available in the avatar of CNG, LPG and petrol whilst of the diesel version to be rolled out after a gap of six months from now, confirmed Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto to the media.
Bajaj had used 2 stroke and four stroke technology for their compact three wheeler that is said to be respectively priced at Rs. 1.03 lakhs and Rs. 1.15 lakhs multi ex showrooms, and are basically costlier by Rs. 3,000 than the outgoing culls.
Affirming with the media again, Bajaj officials claims compact platform of RE will give in better fuel efficiency by 10-15%, a good amount of revenue to the owners on comparison with their old three wheelers, more reliability with low maintenance cost, and better ergonomics for driver as well as passenger.
However, to boost the new ones on maximum verge, Bajaj had discontinued the old range from its series. Three wheeled commuter segmented Maxim and Optima are also aspiring in the pipeline of Pune based automaker to be rolled out this year itself.
