The word is out that General Motors is presently busy with applying the finishing touches to an upgraded version of the Chevrolet Spark. According to reports this model will be displayed in the showrooms by the end of 2012.
The first Spark was showcased at an Auto show in 2010 and General Motors has waited two years to introduce an upgraded version. The new model will be designed on the lines of the existing Spark with newly designed front and rear end bumpers, sleeker fog lamps, a honeycomb grille, a larger emblem on the bonnet.New rear view mirrors would be mounted outside and the car will have integrated indicators as well. The interiors are also rumored to be more chic and comfortable. However, the engine and other ensemble of BHP, torque etc will not change or be upgraded.
The plant of GM in Bangalore has been entrusted with the design changes. Incidentally, most of the models assembled in India have been phased out globally.
