At the Detroit Auto Show, BMW will showcase its BMW 1-Series Coupe and Convertible Limited Edition Lifestyle (models). Only a few will get the chance to own the stunning beauties.
As seen in the pictures, ‘Limited Edition’ includes all new 18″ alloy wheels, decorative white trim on the front grille, chromed exhaust tips, chrome line window recess finishers and window surrounds.
The soft-top of the convertible model is made up of brown coloured fabric with silver pigmentation, which glows under the light.
The interiors of the Limited Edition goes well with the exteriors. The door panels, seats and rim of the steering wheel wears a cover of sporty brown leather with contrast stitches. Wood trim and door sill strips add some more ‘limited edition’ feeling. The interior-coordinated floor mats and roof liner fills the remaining gap.
The Limited Edition will provide its owner with an option of three exterior paints viz. Sapphire Black, Space Grey and the favourite, Mineral White.
Technical details are not yet revealed but we expect 3.0 normal (230bhp) and 3.0 turbocharged (300bhp) engines for the stunning beauties.
Sources from the industry says that 2013 might be the last year for 1-series, because BMW is working on 2-series prototypes to replace its BMW 1-Series.
The Detroit Auto Show will also see 2014 M6 Gran Coupe and 2014 Z4 facelift from the house of BMW 1-Series.
