An hour before we confirmed the India launch of 1 Series, now it is revealed BMW is preparing the mild facelift of same in its R&D. Confirming the news, test mules of same had been witnessed testing somewhere in Europe, which gives in the blow that what we had stroked in the above sentences almost rightly.
Lastly pounded on the news BMW slating 1.5L three cylinder engines in the making, it is seem to feed the bays of new 1 Series at near future.
The new 1.5L powerplant will produce figures in between 120hp to 220hp when being ran on gasoline, and 81hp to 180hp when fed with diesel. It’s even the BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer, who had confirmed these engines to be gradually introduced in Mini and BMW models starting by the end of 2013, continuing till the whole of 2014 and further.
However, apart from the technicalities it is also the cosmetics that will see the change. Front grille, bumpers and expectedly the headlamps, witnessed under the clad of camouflage may face resurrection for the upcoming version.
