On the flipside, the bigger M sibling i.e. new M5 drains its power from the existing 4.4-liter V8 engine, but due to an optional Competition Package, power output is increased by 15 hp to 575 hp. Various add-ons like M ceramic brakes, lower ride height and a new sport exhaust system, makes the M5 LCI a bit quicker to 100 kmph by 0.1 seconds.

The most delighting part of this report remains “7 Series Active Hybrid”. Yes, the BMW is reported to bring in the hybrid of its flagship model by this year with a Twin-Turbo six-cylinder petrol engine attached to a 53 hp electric motor. The sedan will be for the niche executives who are quite conscious about the environment. Hybrid 7-Series features an advanced ECO PRO mode which optimizes the coasting capability, thereby resulting in lower fuel consumption. And the big boot of surprise is, the car will be soon on display at the BMW experience center in India. By the time if Hybrid gets to roll out here, then it could be the first car in India amongst the niche carmakers to do so.
