The world renowned German luxury car manufacturer, BMW, has been working very hard for the upcoming mega event of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The company will be displaying its acclaimed i brand at this international event. The company has stated that their new electric car, i3, will be the show stealer at their stand. The first representative of the i series has been made using the CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) as well as the BMW e drive technology which claims to give 0 emissions while driving.
The company will be unveiling several new cars at the IAA 2013. These models are the new 5 series, 4 series coupe, new BMW X5 M50d, BMW M550 xDrive sedan, and the BMW M550d xDrive touring M Performance. In addition to this the company will also present 2 concepts to exhibit BMW’s brilliance and creativity in the area of driving system. The company also wants to show the effort it puts in launching new vehicles.
The company’s Concept X5 E-Drive uses the typical driving specs of a Sports Activity Vehicle and combines it with the efficiency offered by a plug in hybrid drive system. The BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor exhibits the ability of a premium compact car to adapt to different requirements of sports and leisure activities. It also shows how these can be maximized with the help of a well devised use of clever detailing and space solutions.
The company will also display their latest innovations developed under the banner of the Efficient Dynamics. In addition to this, the company will also reveal new Original BMW accessories as well as the most recent additions made to the lineup of BMW Connected Drive. All the new products and services will be available at the combined stand of BMW, BMW i, Rolls Royce and MINI in the Hall 11. This hall is located next to the main entrance leading to the exhibition center.

BMW i3:
This is the world first ever premium car to be completely powered by electricity. The electric motor in i3 develops a power of 170 bhp and derives it energy from Li ion battery which is placed in the central area of the car’s underbody at its lowest point.
BMW 4 Series Coupe:
This car comes with a completely balanced combination of powerful engines and low centre of gravity. This makes it one of the best cars in this segment with respect to its aesthetics and dynamics. The car will also have alternatives like the Sport Line, Modern Line, Luxury Line and M Sport packages in addition to the standard specification.
The new BMW X5:
This was the world’s first ever Sports Activity Vehicle and till date remains one of the most successful one in the world. The company has rolled out the 3rd gen model which takes the driving experience to an all new level.
BMW Concept X5 Drive:
This car blends perfectly the driving pleasure of a smart all wheel drive system xDrive with a plug in hybrid drive concept. This vehicle can attain a maximum speed of 120 kmph in its all electric mode.
BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor:
The company will display the new Concept Active Tourer Outdoor which will be offering a compact dimension, plausible interior room and sporty characteristics and innovative features.
The new BMW 5 Series:
BMW will be introducing the new 5 series with intelligent modifications, more drive system variants and an array of innovations from the company’s Connected Drive. The all new BMW 518d which comes with the Sedan and touring body styles will make an entry into the BMW 5 series. Also the all wheel drive models see an added 520d xDrive trim.
