The first day of the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo witnessed the launching of the BMW M5 in an emphatic manner. The launch program was accompanied by a superb display of martial arts for reflecting the emphasis on performance that the BMW M5 commits. The car, which looks a stunner, has been priced heavily at Rs.95.9 Lakh. BMW kick started its presence at the Auto Expo by introducing its new concept of connected drive along with its Roadster concept. The BMW’s concept of connected drive is the new car variant from the company that can communicate with your smartphone. BMW is planning to develop this car in the future so that safety of communicating while driving is enhanced and the risk of collision averted.
Apart from this intelligent concept of connected drive, the company is also not making any compromises with regards to its driving features. The auto giant from Germany has also launched the Mini Range of cars in the Indian market. It comprises of a hatchback, the Mini Cooper costing Rs.24.25 Lakh, the Mini Cooper S at Rs.27.6 Lakh, the Countryman at Rs.29 Lakh and the Convertible at Rs. 31 Lakh. BMW Group initially had plans of launching the Mini brand in the Indian market in 2009 but the same got delayed due to conditions of the market. Bookings of the Mini brand have already started in India and the car delivery is expected to start from March 2012.
