BMW has added a few cosmetic changes to the Z4 and has also added an entry level variant branded as sDrive18i for the global lineup.
The new version houses a turbocharged 2.0 litre engine that is capable of producing about 154bhp. That gives the vehicle enough power to six speed manual transmission to drive that car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds. There is also option for a 8 speed auto gearbox, other than that existing BMW Z4 models like sDrive20i, sDrive28i, sDrive35s and sDrive35i remains unchanged. Indian market has only sDrive35i Z4 to offer which is powered by a 3.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that can deliver about 302 bhp and is priced at Rs. 70 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Minor cosmetic changes have been added to the roadster like the revised LED lights. New alloy wheels are also available with the minor exterior trim details.
The other changes includes the option for new design pure traction styling pack, that delivers orange and black contrasting trim to cabin. The interior has also received iDrive surrounds and gloss black trim for air vent.
The BMW M Sport package comprises of the new suspension settings, exterior and interior trims and alloy wheels.
