After X5, it was obviously the X3 to get a facelift.
The reworked X3 boasts changes similar to the bigger sibling X5. New headlamp cluster with a more angular shape, chromed front grille, restyled bumpers, fresh tail lamps, all-new mirrors, alloys and ORVMs with integrated indicators are the tweaks to be named. Inside the cabin, it is held of a new leather shade, textured wood, glossy treatment for central console and new upholstery. Tailgate gets electric-opening.
Under the bonnet, X3 remains untouched for the most. The 2.0L diesel engine now produces 190bhp rather than 184bhp of previous model. Reportedly, the 3.0L engine is dropped from the list as of now. Traction is driven to all-wheels via 8-spoeed ZF transmission. Two variants are rolled out for retail, Expedition and xLine. The xline (priced at Rs 49.9 lakh) gets all the tranquilities that are meant to be for a SUV in rival with Audi Q5 and Freelander 2. Panoramic sunroof, 18-inch wheels, more refined speaker system, and a sport+ mode can be named over the standard model called Expedition which is priced at Rs 44.9 lakh with 17-inch wheels.
