Honda city has been demanded by customers all over India for quite a period of time. The car is considered to be a complete package having new features and design along with quite a good fuel economy. Honda had only revealed about the new fourth-generation City in New Delhi on 25th November. The company managed to keep the information related to the car a secret till then and the car is now set to be launched by 7th January 2014. It is seen that currently customers are out of choice as there are not many cars to choose from in the market. Honda dealers have started taking bookings in advance for the City even before it is launched. An amount of Rs 51,000 is being charged, which will be completely refundable if the customer changes his mind once the car has been launched.
According to the dealers, a situation where they would have to refund the money is not going to arise. Rather, the company is expecting an outburst of orders once the car is launched.
The petrol and the diesel variants are said to have equal demands with the company aiming for a waiting period to even cross two months once the mid-sized sedan is out.
The demand for the car also depends on the different variants that are offered. Generally, it has been seen that the highest demand is for the entry level variant. The Honda dealers and the car makers are expecting the new Honda City to do wonders by breaking the sales records of all the other cars of the company especially because Honda is also launching the diesel variant of the car.
