Yamaha FZ is going to give a facelift to its existing motorcycle lineup in India and will revamp them with a BS6 compliant engine and could well be launching new bikes in December this year.
This means we would be seeing BS6 compliant Yamaha FZ, FZ-S and R15. In all likelihood, power output figures of these bikes would be lower as compared to their BS4 cousins. The Yamaha R15 already uses a fuel- injected engine.
It is likely that the FZ and the FZ-S could get a fuel injected engine as well. Another Yamaha product which could get a BS6 engine is the Fascino scooty. BS6 norms comes in effect from April 2020 and all Indian automobile manufacturers are updating their products to meet the new emission norms.
