General Motors India, which launched the redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Beat at Rs. 4.06 lakh at 2014 Auto Expo, has now revised the prices of its hatchback. With the recent announcement of cut in excise duty on vehicles in India, the automaker has announced a reduction in price of its highly anticipated Beat, which is now available for the price of Rs. 3.92 lakh for base model. The new Chevrolet Beat is available in four variants; these include LT (O), LT, LS and PS. It is also being offered in LPG, diesel and petrol versions. The redesigned Beat comes standard with foglamps, redesigned grille and new front bumper. It also gets redesigned rear spoiler and new set of alloy wheels that add to its sporty look.
Chevrolet has given some subtle changes to its center console, including the central rear height adjustable headrest. Mechanically it remains unchanged and continues to be motivated by diesel 1.0 liter and petrol 1.2 liter powerplant. Power is sent to the front wheels through 5-speed manual gearbox. Features for the base PS model include body colored bumpers, steel wheels and black rear spoiler. The LS adds central locking system, front power windows and tinted glasses. On the other hand, the LT gets roof rails wing mirrors, body colored door handles, chrome grille and body colored rear spoiler with LEDs. The range-topping LT (O) is equipped with steering column mounted stereo controls and alloy wheels.
