Chevrolet Sonic, the B-segment sedan of Chevrolet, which is also known as Aveo in Europe, received a facelift for the Chinese market.
The new styling cues of Sonic facelift seems to have been taken from the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze that was revealed this year’s Beijing Auto Show.
The facelifted Sonic sedan will arrive at Chinese dealerships this June, apparently with the same price tag.
Under the hoods it stores 1.4 and 1.6-liter EcoTec mills, speculated to see slight changes in them as well while rolling down the sales floor.
On the changed front, new Sonic represents slightly changed headlamps and tail lamps with narrow head like that of 2016 Cruze. Refurbished alloys, a subtle diffuser infused in the rear bumper, tweaked bonnet design and dual-port front grille also make to the list.
Images of the cabin aren’t released yet, couldn’t make any confirmation on that note.
Hopefully, going by the reports, this new Sonic is for the Chinese market. Other markets may get a different version, specifically the US to get a one that would be unveiled at 2015 Detroit Motor Show.
