The 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, which has started today, seems to be getting exciting with every passing minute. News received just now by Indian Drives states that General Motors has unveiled its eagerly anticipated Chevrolet MUV, the Tavera Neo3, at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi. Launched along with it has been the face-lifted version of the Chevrolet Tavera. The other cars that are being showcased in the Expo by the global car maker includes the Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Beat electrical variant, Chevrolet Camaro Roadster, Chevrolet Spark LPG, Chevrolet StingRay, the sports variant of the Chevrolet WTCC, the Music variant of the Chevrolet Beat and finally, its concept car, the Chevrolet EN-V.
The latest Tavera Neo3 from Chevrolet has been fitted with a turbo diesel common rail engine that the auto maker from America has taken from the ICML Rhino MUV. This latest MUV is going to meet the BS IV norms of emission and hence can be sold in all big cities of India. The facelift version of the Chevrolet Captiva has been upgraded by providing it with six-speed auto transmission gearbox. Its interior has also been given a fresh look.
The 2.2L VCDi turbo diesel common rail engine is going to be offered with two tunings. The first variant will have the capacity to deliver a maximum power of 163Bhp along with a peak torque of 350Nm.In the second variant, the engine has been tweaked further and it is going to generate a maximum power of 181Bhp along with a peak torque of 400Nm. Other than the above two mentioned cars, General Motors is also expected to reveal its hatchback, the Chevrolet Sail together with its NC-100 at the platform of the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
